We had a hard time leaving. Don and Kendall are so kind and know their stuff, and breakfast was amazing every time: french toast, waffles, bacon, eggs, fruit parfaits, all of it. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and every room is private with its own bathroom, some with jetted tubs. If you find an open room here, book it.

The lodge's shared spaces were a highlight, and breakfast was delicious. Staff were warm, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. We spent an unforgettable, romantic weekend here during Dahlonega's old fashioned Christmas celebration. The room was nicely appointed, quiet, and quaint, with its own balcony and entrance. It was a rejuvenating stay.

Long Mountain Suite 3 was just the right size for a couple, and it was clean and lovely. Don was a wonderful host, made a tasty breakfast, and worked around our dietary needs. One thing to keep in mind: the driveway is very steep. That's common around there, but it might be tough with a long truck or a bad transmission.

The breakfast was incredible, and Don and Kendall took our dietary restrictions seriously while still making delicious food. We could relax together in the sunny, cozy dining room and the common area, with comfortable chairs and a couch by the fireplace. Our room also had a fireplace, plus a big ensuite bathroom with a jetted garden tub and amenities that made it feel luxurious. We were starting a section of the Ga part of the AT, but rain and cold weather delayed our plans. Don and the Lodge were hiker friendly, found us a room at the last minute, and helped us get where we needed to go during our several days there. I took ages to write this because I couldn't find the right words for the beauty, comfort, and hospitality. It was a lovely mountain stay. Hikers doing a thru hike or section hike should mention it for a discount.

We needed a peaceful place to reconnect while celebrating our 26-year anniversary, and this was exactly right. Don made wonderful breakfasts each morning and told great stories that added to the stay. We spent two days in a clean, comfortable space and would happily come back.
