Quality Inn & Suites El Paso I-10

I paid $144 for two nights in a single bedroom, and the place was filthy. The front desk receptionists on both the night and day shifts were kind, helpful, understanding, and professional. I appreciated them. Housekeeping and maintenance were another story. You could see footprints, fingerprints, stains, and what looked like bodily fluids left by the previous guest. In the first room, the lower shower head leaked constantly, the tub was dirty, the curtains and nightstands were stained, the furniture had rust, and the bed looked dusty and dirty. I tried to get a refund, but since I booked through Booking.com, their policy didn’t allow one. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault, and the receptionist did offer me another room. The second room was better but still unacceptable. There were stains, a sticky spot on the carpet, a somewhat dirty tub, wall marks that looked like dried blood, blood stains on the couch, and a blood spot on a towel. Most of the outlets didn’t work. I was careful where I put my bags, and I was too grossed out to sleep under the sheets or use a pillow. Breakfast was disappointing for the price. They had waffles, cereal, oatmeal, and bread, but no eggs or sausage. It wasn’t terrible, just not what I expected. I’m not asking for a refund. I want the owner to take some initiative and show accountability, because the lack of care for the property is embarrassing. Even small-town motels in poor areas keep their rooms cleaner. If you’re considering spending $144 for two nights in a dirty hotel, use caution, especially if you’re traveling with kids. This was my first impression of this location, and I’m putting it out there so other people don’t waste their time or money. Maybe my opinion sounds exaggerated, but I’m a person of simple taste and still couldn’t overlook how filthy it was.
