TownePlace Suites by Marriott El Paso North

I had a very comfortable long-term work stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriott at 4670 Woodrow Bean N Dr, El Paso, TX. The whole team, from maintenance to the front desk, made me feel welcome. Theo, the manager, deserves a special thanks for always greeting me with a bright smile and friendly hello. That kind of hospitality makes a real difference when you’re staying somewhere for work. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options each day, which made mornings convenient. There are lots of nearby restaurants and a Walmart within walking distance. The front desk also has little essentials like razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and combs in case you forgot to pack something. I’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend it.

I’ve been here for work for over 4 months, and it’s been a nice stay overall. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard, so it’s great coming back to a spotless room. Most of the front desk staff are very kind and go out of their way to help. One person rubbed me the wrong way and made a false claim, though it was settled. That’s why I’d take off a star. Breakfast is mid at best, but it’s free for guests, so that rating feels fair. There’s no pool, but they do have a putting green, plus 2 grills guests can use for BBQs and hanging out. The location is handy for everything: Walmart is literally next door if you want to cook, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I do suggest staying here.

The location worked perfectly for visiting our son at Ft. Bliss, with the base, airport, shops, and restaurants nearby or within walking distance. We’ll stay here again. Our group of 3 adults had a private bedroom and sofa bed, two thermostats, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The bathroom was large and clean, with toiletries in the shower. Only thing missing was a “funk fan,” lol. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, including complimentary water. Breakfast was typical, but Sunday’s waffles were huge enough to share. I was surprised there weren’t any on Monday.

They upgraded non-platinum members but didn’t acknowledge Platinum members at all. There seemed to be no interest in upgrading people who’d actually earned it. If you’re counting on the imaginary ‘Bonvoy rewards,’ I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
