The Soluna Hotel

The rooms are tiny, and the whole place feels worn and beat up. They advertise a pool and fitness center, but the fitness center isn’t open and the pool is a joke. I’m tired of places claiming to have amenities and still charging full price when they’re unavailable. I could’ve spent less somewhere else. I don’t get the good reviews.

The rooms and service were good, and breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary. The pool and fitness center were both closed. If all you need is a place to sleep, it’ll do, but it didn’t feel worth 100 a night.

We really like the price, location, and service here. It was very clean, and the service was great. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you!

It’s an odd spot for The Soluna, with a budget motel next door and a sports bar across the street that seemed busy on Saturday night. The hotel feels older, with a facelift from some time ago. Check-in was easy, parking out back was plentiful, and the medium brown decor felt calming. The room had enough space, a decent bathroom, a working fridge, microwave, and blackout curtains. The bed was standard medium-firm, not a pillow top, but it was made nicely and the linens were soft. Every lamp had an outlet for charging devices. Breakfast was what you’d expect: yogurt, muffins, toast, juice, coffee, fruit, and someone making waffles, or at least it looked like a waffle maker. Maybe we just had bad timing, but the jacuzzi wasn’t heated. The pool was cold too, which wasn’t really a complaint since summer hadn’t warmed it yet. There weren’t any loungers like in the pictures, and the pool photo shows the most flattering angle. It’s tucked into a corner and smaller than it looks, so this isn’t a relaxing place to lounge poolside. My other gripe was the cable setup: no channel guide, and the remote was awful, either worn out or needing fresh batteries. I’d consider coming back, but I’d call ahead to check the jacuzzi since I’d really been looking forward to it.
