Days Inn by Wyndham El Paso

The staff were friendly and professional, and getting to this Days Inn from US24 was very easy. Our room was clean, with nice linens and a comfortable bed. It’s an older place and could use some updates, especially that worn-out recliner in our room, but I had a pretty good stay.

The rooms were spotless, and everything was in good shape and working properly. There are a few spaces for tractor-trailer parking in back, though it’s a tight fit. My one gripe was the handheld shower in the accessible room I was given. The head couldn’t be adjusted and looked like it dated back to 1978. It worked, but the spray was so faint it felt like standing near an open car-wash entrance.

The community room was a nice place to gather with family, and the room itself was spacious. We spent most of our time there or out with them. The complimentary coffee was good, too. But the room was extremely dirty, and on our last day we found a live brown roach in the bathroom. I went to tell the front desk, and the employee asked if I wanted her to come spray it with roach killer. The pool was freezing, and its rusty jets didn’t work, so the water didn’t seem to be circulating or clean. There was no breakfast. With the bugs and the cold, dirty pool, I wouldn’t stay again.

For the price, this was a good place to stay. The room smelled fine and was clean, including the fresh towels and crisp bed linens. Breakfast was simple, and the coffee was fresh. We had no complaints and would stay again when passing through the area.
