Marriott El Paso

I've stayed here several times, but next visit I'll look at other hotels. It's in a great location, and service on the concierge floor was decent, but the building is old and run down and needs serious updates. I would not recommend it.

The visit ended with us being ignored at the hotel restaurant, where we sat for ages without menus. The room itself was uncomfortable and the service made the stay even more frustrating. After we came back from dinner, the air still felt stiff and humid, despite having left it running while we were out. A technician changed the air filter, but it made no difference. The desk staff were dismissive, didn't apologize, and said there were no other rooms to move us to. We had booked a king room in advance, but at check-in they said only two-queen rooms were available. They made no effort to honor the reservation or even apologize. The front desk was unaccommodating throughout. Poor communication and uncomfortable conditions from beginning to end. I wouldn't stay here again.

The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable, and I usually stay here for its proximity to the airport. But every amenity I use was closed: no pool, gym, or M club. As a titanium member, that's disappointing. At checkout, the man at the desk couldn't be bothered to look up from his computer. I'll stay at another Marriott property from now on.

I called the next day for fresh towels and waited an hour, but none arrived. When I called the front desk again to ask when they'd come, nobody picked up. Check-in was bad too, with the attendants laughing, looking at a phone, and gossiping about some guy. This is the last time I'll stay here. If anyone asks me where to stay in El Paso, I won't mention this place.
