Days Inn by Wyndham El Paso West

The room itself was decent, but there were problems all through our five-day stay. We’re traveling workers and have been staying in hotels for over three years, but we’ve never been charged so much for our pets. The price also wasn’t what was listed online. We were told we’d start being charged when our keys stopped working and we needed replacements. You can’t keep those keys in a wallet, pocket, or purse, so where are you supposed to put them? We got yelled at for walking on a wet sidewalk that wasn’t clearly marked as wet or closed. They required a $200 cash deposit and tried to keep it, claiming we’d smoked in the room. We did not smoke. I picked up after my dogs every time, gathered the trash in a large bag, stripped the beds, piled up the towels, and cleaned the room myself. You also have to get someone to let you into the guest laundry. There are cameras everywhere, and they watch you like a hawk. Parking is tight and inconvenient.

The rooms have been remodeled and were clean, and the customer service was good. The highway nearby means some road noise, and the TVs could perhaps be upgraded to smart TVs. Still, you can’t beat the price for what you get. I’d stay again.

I was surprised by how clean and spacious the room was. The staff were very friendly, too. When we had a problem with the TV, the night-shift employee came to our room to sort it out. She was really kind and attentive.

For under $100, you get a renovated, clean room in an easy-to-reach spot. The rooms have new floors, bathroom tile, furniture, and TVs. It’s right off I-10, with plenty of places to eat nearby. This has to be one of the best-value motels in El Paso.
