Montana Motel El Paso

The room was plain but nice enough for a night's sleep, if you don't mind housekeeping opening your door at 8:30 in the morning. They didn't knock or say who they were, just used a key and swung the door wide open. I complained to the front desk, but couldn't understand what was being said, and everyone blamed someone else. I got out of there fast. It's not worth your time or money, or the worry that someone could walk in whenever they want. Try Motel 6 or another chain, even if it costs a little more. If negative stars were possible, I'd give them.

I went back about two weeks after my first stay, when an older man of Indian (Asian Indian) descent had rented me a room and things had been okay. This time a young man of Indian descent was at the desk. I gave him my credit card and driver's license and filled out their form. He returned it as incomplete, even though the information was on my license, so I filled it out again. Then he said he wouldn't rent me a room because I was giving him “attitude.” It was late and I just wanted to lie down. I wasn't rude; I told him I'd stayed there before, but he had an attitude. I went to motel 6 instead, which was quite a bit cheaper and just as nice. The other two reviews look fake to me, since both are from people who only rate motels and have no written review. This place is useless.

Rooms used to cost $40 a night with tax, but now they charge twice as much and call it tax. The furniture looks like used military stuff, there's no fridge, and there isn't a stopper in the sink if you need to shave and save water. The bathroom towel bars are rusty. Bring plenty of bug spray, since you never know what might be crawling near your face at night or in the morning. Keep your vehicle in sight, lock the doors, and set the alarm. Don't leave anything you value there. I guarantee they'll use it and claim they already had it. There's a shop in the back of the motel recycling things, so be aware. If this site allowed no stars, that's what I'd give.

It doesn't look welcoming, safe, or luxurious, and it's in a part of town I don't care for. I'd probably choose another hotel and stay somewhere else.
