XIT Ranch Motel

The price was good, and I didn't see any bugs. I was a little uneasy after reading reviews, but I parked at the truck stop across the street and wanted to get out of the truck. The lady up front was really nice. She said there was no ice machine, which was no big deal. Then, less than two minutes after I got to my room, she called and asked me to come to the office. She'd taken a bag of ice from her own freezer and put it in a container for me. Good value for the money, with a cozy bed, fridge, and micro. Not bad at all.

The clerk even offered to walk us to the room, then checked back while we were unloading our luggage to see if everything was okay. The customer service was off the chart. And the room was amazingly clean, I mean really clean. We were only looking for a cheap place to sleep, so the large rooms and cleanliness were way more than we expected. The amenities are what you'd expect for the price, but I'd stay again.

The owners are what made the stay worthwhile, even though the motel itself wasn't much to look at. I was there overnight while replacing my water pump. The owner drove me to the auto parts store, and when I realized I needed something else after I got back, he handed me his keys instead of driving me again. Couldn't have broken down around better people. There was no continental breakfast, pool, or WiFi, but that didn't matter. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and there weren't any critters running around. I'd stay again if I need a motel in the area.

As a woman driving alone from Kansas to California, I was concerned about safety. The clerk walked me to my room and showed me everything. The room was VERY clean and comfortable, with a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Good value for the price. The office was cluttered, but clean, and the clerk was very friendly.
