When the owner came, he called me out of the room and told us to leave, saying maintenance found nothing wrong and checkout was at 11. We did get a refund, but then had nowhere to stay. Before that, we'd gone back to the desk after finding roaches crawling up the bathroom wall. They first showed us a different room, and after I said okay, changed course and said maintenance would fix our room. Maintenance blamed us for the black stuff in the tub, as if we were filthy, said the fridge was in default mode, and said the shower only needed caulking. My husband and I checked into the jacuzzi suite, room 100, to celebrate our anniversary. The location is great, but the hotel service was awful. The fridge wouldn't get cold, and yellowish gunk came out of the tub jets. The front desk said maintenance might or might not come in the morning and gave us garbage bags to fill with ice to use as a fridge. We rinsed the tub and tried again, but black matter came out with the bubbles and got everywhere. We cleaned it and tried once more, with the same result. Exhausted, we decided to shower and deal with it in the morning. During my husband's five-minute shower, water leaked through the wall by the toilet, and I had to chase it with a towel to keep the carpet from getting soaked. The owner and staff were happy to gang up on us instead of addressing the problems. Don't stay here.

The worst part was bed bugs. We both got bitten, and my girlfriend had them all over both legs, really badly. We stayed in room 103 for two nights, Monday, 10/06 and Tuesday, 10/07. The place seemed to smell like weed throughout. The furniture and room were very old, and the carpet smelled. The bedside clock couldn't be adjusted. Nobody should stay here anymore, especially in room 103.

The hotel room was awful too. The showerhead leaked badly, the bathroom felt neglected, and a strong mold smell in the bedroom made it almost impossible to relax. I checked in to Comfort Inn on September 13th and checked out the same night without any issues. They charged me a $100 deposit, and two weeks later I still hadn't got it back. Every time I called, the front desk staff were rude and unprofessional. First it was 24-48 hours, then 5-7 business days, then the person in charge was supposedly out of office. No deposit, no consistent answer, no accountability. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Between the poor room and the runaround, save yourself the stress and stay somewhere else. I said I would file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau over the mishandled deposit and the way I was treated. UPDATE: The hotel's statement is completely false. Nobody on any of my several calls told me I had to come in person with ID to get my refund. If someone had told me that, I would've done it weeks ago. Each call brought a different timeline for the $100, first 24-48 hours, then 5-7 business days, and finally that the person in charge was out. They never mentioned an ID or coming in. A corporate officer from Choice Hotels even contacted the front desk for me and was also told to call back tomorrow because the person was out. So this clearly wasn't a misunderstanding on my end. The hotel's reply seems like a dishonest attempt to shift the blame instead of accepting responsibility. I've already filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and sent documentation of all my attempts to reach them. I'll gladly update this review once the refund is processed, but for now their response remains misleading and inaccurate.

There were only two packs of coffee in the room, but just one sugar and one creamer. The front desk staff were extremely rude, and the bathtub had what looked like black mold around the drain. I had bed bugs and ended up sleeping in the chair because nobody at the desk could help. Around four in the morning I went outside, then couldn't get back in because the door wouldn't open. The guy at the desk came to help, but it took him about ten minutes to get it open. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I'll never stay again, I'd sleep in my truck first.
