Guests were leaving the breakfast area because things felt unsafe and uncomfortable. I won’t support employees being verbally harassed and abused. On my second morning, the General Manager Sheila Daniels held a staff meeting during Sunday breakfast service. What started as a meeting in the conference room with the doors closed became intense and loud. Sheila and the staff were yelling and arguing, with a lot of screaming instead of conversation. There was allegedly a physical altercation. I was shocked by how condescending and threatening Sheila, as General Manager, sounded when addressing her employees. Guests seemed frozen, unsure whether to eat or leave. I stepped into the room and politely asked them to handle the meeting professionally so guests could enjoy breakfast and their stay. The front desk staff were at the meeting, so there was nobody to talk to about intervening. At one point, Sheila came up to me asking my name and room number because she wanted to speak with me personally. I said I had nothing to discuss with her. The exchange felt intimidating. Later she also came between me and a breakfast staff member when I was asking for a spoon, as if to prevent us from speaking. She kept repeating that breakfast service was over. I just needed a spoon. I’d booked a couple of days to rest and spend time with my family away from home. The hotel had seemed great at first: the front desk staff were pleasant when we arrived, the room was clean and nicely decorated, and breakfast was delicious. I was grateful for that start, but the incident ruined our stay. I raised my concerns with Hotels.com (Expedia) and asked for a full refund. They tried unsuccessfully to contact the hotel, offered a tiny credit, and referred me to the refund policy, saying a full refund was up to Hotel Management. I refused and continued asking for a full refund because Sheila’s poor decisions had ruined the stay. Other guests also wrote reviews about what happened. Read them and stay somewhere else.

We found the rooms very clean, and the location was handy, near downtown Dallas but away from the worst traffic. Everyone greeted me with a smile whenever I came in. Paris especially was kind and professional when my daughter lost her wallet, which had her hotel key in it, at a Dallas venue. Paris patiently explained what my daughter needed to do to get back into the room safely. We really appreciated the help during a stressful moment. It was a great stay. Thanks to Paris and the whole team!

We’re grateful they had a room for us during the winter freeze, and the front desk woman was kind and checked us in quickly. For a last-minute booking, the stay was alright, though housekeeping cost it a couple of stars. There was a pile of sheets outside the door, so we thought at least they’d been changed. But inside, the room felt rushed or like someone had just left. The fridge was in disarray, there was hair by the tub and water-drop marks on the bathroom sink. By the bed, the nightstand had cup ring marks, and the carpet and accent chair had the usual stains. The tub fixture was a little loose, and there were cracks in the walls and tiles. Those were cosmetic issues.

Jonathan was working at the front desk and couldn’t have been nicer. His customer service was wonderful, and he was so kind to my family and me. I had no problems with the hotel and got great service during an event stay with friends. I had such a good experience that I stayed an extra night. Ivan was wonderful, and the weather was bad too.

This was one of my worst IHG stays, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. My first room had dirty sheets, hair in the sink and shower, and a bad smell that wouldn’t go away. When I asked to switch rooms, the front desk clerk put me in one with an open door, which remained an issue during my stay. The bathroom there was dirty too, and it came with just two large towels and one washcloth. The clerk, who had a poor attitude and stayed on her phone, said guests were limited to two towels a day. Housekeeping needs more training and a more professional approach, including keeping music at a reasonable volume while cleaning. I could also go on about the negative comments from the GM herself and the clerk who checked me in. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
