Motel 6 Dallas, TX - Northwest

I had to switch rooms three times, and housekeeping clearly wasn't doing a good job. In the last room, I spotted black mold on the shower curtain. I called for a replacement; the man said he'd be there in ten minutes, but never came. I only needed a few hours of sleep before my flight, but I wouldn't recommend this Motel 6. While I waited for my Lyft, an older woman kept giving me a dirty look and moving me back and forth like a dog to get out of the way. I was furious.

The rooms are pretty big and cheap, and housekeeping makes sure things are done right. Ricky, the manager, is cool, humble, laid back, and respectful to my family. He's been kind of like a bro to me and has always been kind. Honestly, this is one of the best family-owned hotels in Texas. If you need somewhere affordable with what you need, this is the place. I highly recommend it.

We choose Motel 6 because pets stay for free, and the rooms here are really large for a motel. Ricky and his staff are awesome. When the ice storm hit, I needed to stay close to work, so I booked here. I told Ricky I'll come back whenever bad weather comes through.

I was here for an emergency stay, and the room was disgusting: roaches, stained pillows, and stray hair in the bathroom. The toilet clogged after just one use. The staff were friendly, at least.
