Extended Stay America - Dallas - Vantage Point Dr.

We expected to stay just a few days, but ended up making this our place for the long run. It went from feeling like a hotel to feeling like home, and having somewhere stable for now has been a huge relief. The whole staff has been amazing. The front desk women on every shift have been friendly and helpful, and the night security staff are nice too. Managers O.J and Ms. Cari went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The manager worked hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible, but this was still the worst hotel we've stayed at. The rooms weren't well kept: dresser drawers were missing, there were cigarette butts on the drains, stains on the bedding, and the whole place reeked of Marijuana. Twice, after we were already in our room, it was given away to someone else. Once it happened at midnight while we were asleep and someone tried to get in. The other time was in the afternoon. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in the Dallas area.

We were disappointed and ended up asking them to clean the tub, which had hair, dirt, and other stuff around it. The woman who cleaned it talked on her phone the whole time. Our second room had just one towel and no toilet paper, and the first one smelled really strange. A guy passing by said we couldn't stay in that room and should ask for another, so we did. The parking lot seemed full of hobos, and the area didn't look or smell great. Save your time and money.

I've never stayed anywhere this nasty, and I won't stay at this chain again. My first room had no working AC, so I had to switch rooms. In the room I ended up with, the floor was sticky, the carpet disgusting, and the fold-out bed was coated in what looked like years of grime. There was a child's sip cup, a dirty sock, and food crumbs in it. The cable kept cutting out, so I couldn't watch anything, and I saw several roaches on the last day. There wasn't even a trash can. Breakfast was a joke, just granola bars and coffee. I told the man at the front desk, and he said he'd report it somehow. I doubt he will. People pay good money for a place to stay, and it could at least be clean. I'd give less than one star if I could.
