Stay Express Inn Dallas - Fair Park / Downtown

I found the staff respectful and had no customer service problems. This was my second visit, and the room was clean with everything working properly. It's a basic, affordable place for travelers who need somewhere to stay, not a luxury hotel. For a simple overnight, it does the job. My main concern is the surrounding area, not the hotel itself.

For a quiet, safe and peaceful stay over a couple of weeks, I'd choose a smoke-free RM. Those rooms seem cleaner and quieter, have two beds, and come with an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. There's also lots of good food within walking distance. I gave service just two stars because the housekeeper was rude, barking orders at me. Funny thing is, I'd left her a tip for the service, but when she treated me that way I went back inside and took it back.

Compared with the hotels on 59 North and Crosstimbers in Houston Tex, this place is horrible. There were hairs all over the restroom, people outside yelling and fighting all night, and so many homeless people sleeping in the parking lot. It felt very scary being there.

I wish we'd chosen somewhere else for our family vacation. The blankets were dirty, and they only gave us two top sheets, so we had to wait until the next day for clean blankets to sleep comfortably. There weren't enough towels for the three of us to bathe, and housekeeping was extremely stingy with them. Our stay was uncomfortable and unpleasant. I wanted to stick it out because of the price, but it just wasn't good. The door to our last room would lock, but it was loose and needed maintenance.
