Trinity Suites Downtown Dallas

By morning, I found what looked like some kind of bed bug or roach smashed on my pajamas. Before checking out, I looked under the mattress and saw pee stains everywhere, and the headboard hadn’t been cleaned. This place needs serious TLC and wasn’t worth the $88 they charged. I’ve stayed in much nicer places for $70. Shame on them for renting out trash. I booked at the last minute for one night. My first room smelled like pee and looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned in ages. The curtains, lampshades, bed cover, walls, and floors were dirty, the ceiling had water damage, and there was someone else’s hair on the floor. I asked to switch rooms and they moved me. Around 2 a.m. in the second room, the water was freezing, just lukewarm, with no hot water. I called the desk and asked for a discount or refund, but he said he wouldn’t honor it and asked what he could do at 2 a.m.

The kindest part of the stay was the staff. The ladies working there were so sweet and always checked if I needed anything. I stayed a few nights while visiting family. It was clean and quiet, with a comfy bed and what I needed, even though it isn’t a luxury hotel. It’s close to downtown and easy to get to the freeways.

The maid was super nice, at least. The place is cheap-ish, and you get what you pay for, which isn’t much. It’s like a Motel 6 or Super 8, only less clean. It’ll work for this trip, but I’ll stay somewhere else if I’m back in town.

The air conditioner is powerful enough that I felt cold even with it 110°F outside. The bed was nice and soft, and the sheets and pillows were clean. It’s a calm motel, and I noticed the front desk guy renting a room only to people who would let everyone sleep peacefully. The room had the basics, including a mini fridge, microwave, toothbrush, and nice soap and shampoo. A microwave is something I don’t usually get even at a 4- or 5-star motel or hotel. I’d recommend this place if you need a good night’s sleep.
