Warwick Melrose Dallas

We loved our anniversary stay at the Warwick Melrose. The corner king felt cozy and private, and we really liked its layout and view. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and kind, and went out of their way to make us feel celebrated. The atmosphere was relaxed in the morning and great at night. We didn’t try the restaurant, but would like to next time. My only reason for not giving five stars is the weak ventilation. There’s no bathroom fan, so it stays steamy for a while after a shower.

We had a great time here with friends for live music at the bar. The hotel and bar feel clean, classy, and welcoming, a nice setting for an upscale night out. Jason tended bar and was attentive, helpful, and gave us outstanding service. His customer service alone will bring us back.

I still don’t know where my expensive designer bag is, and the hotel has stopped responding. Staff first said they had found it and would send it back, so I paid for a shipping label right away. Since then, I’ve called more than a dozen times and gotten almost no response. Ana, the representative, repeatedly didn’t return my calls or emails. After the hotel supposedly shipped the package, I was told FedEx couldn’t give me tracking information because the hotel had created the shipment for me. I have no way to see its status. I’m concerned it may never have been sent and could have been mishandled or taken, though I don’t know what happened. For a branded hotel, the lack of communication, transparency, and accountability is unacceptable. If you care about your belongings or customer service, avoid this property.

We celebrated my mom’s birthday here, and she had a blast. The rooms were cozy and nice, and the food was delicious. Even with the snowstorm, the service was great, and the staff were enjoyable to talk to.
