We’ve stayed here before and usually had a great visit. This time was good too, though I noticed a few things that need attention. We tried all three luggage carts, and the worn wheels made them really hard to push over carpet. The elevator inspection also looked overdue. In room #216, the HVAC wall unit was so loud that we had to switch it off to sleep.

I found black spots all over the sheets and woke up with 8-10 bites on my legs. I took pictures, called the front desk right away, and emailed the general manager, but he said there wasn’t a problem and refused to do anything. I’d booked through a third party, so I contacted them too. They reached out to the hotel, which still wouldn’t acknowledge an issue despite the photos of the bites and spots. Stay at your own risk.

The room was incredibly clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good, and the front desk and other employees were friendly, chatty, and easy to like. I really, really enjoyed this restaurant. I took off a star for this location. When we go to Florida, I’ll be staying at this hotel along the way.

The room was great, the bed was comfy, the shower had fantastic heat and pressure, and the front desk staff were friendly. My night got complicated, though. First, guests arrived in the adjoining room, and I could hear them as if they were right there with me. Their little dog then barked nonstop for about 20 minutes. I couldn’t get anyone at the front desk or in that room on the phone, and knocking didn’t help either. I went downstairs, explained, and got an identical room farther along the hall. They apologized and helped me move my things. Later, something landed on my face. It was a ladybug, harmless enough, and I found two more in the bedside light shade. I carried them into the hallway and set them on the heater by the window. Then my door shut and locked behind me. There I was in boxers and a T-shirt, hoping not to run into anyone as I went downstairs. The desk staff apologized about the bugs, saying it was ladybug season, which I totally understand. Better than tarantula season! They gave me a new key card, and I got back to my room and had a great, quiet sleep. No worries.

The rooms are spacious, breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly. It’s a newer, very clean hotel with a great location and easy interstate access. It’s pet friendly, and the pet fee was lower than at other places nearby. I’d definitely stay here again when passing through.
