We found a quiet, very clean place that welcomes families and pets, with a beach that's an easy walk away and not busy. Staff were friendly, and there's a small shop inside for snacks. Breakfast is a big buffet in the morning, and they put out milk and cookies at night.

We could barely hear the freeway from inside, which surprised me since the hotel is right next to it. Our room was huge, clean, and had everything a family would need. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included, and they also serve milk and cookies every night. The kids had fun in the pool and hot tub. It was our first stay, and we'd definitely come back.

Legoland was only six minutes away, and the beach was just a minute down the next block. We loved our spacious, super clean room. There were four of us, and the rollaway fit neatly beside our bed; the couch also opened into a bed for our 16 year old. The traffic from the freeway nearby never came through, and there's a gas station right next door. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, the breakfast with lots of choices, and milk and cookies at night. Everyone was so friendly. My daughter left her plushie behind, and they kindly mailed it back after we realized in Las Vegas. Can't wait to book again!

That night after Legoland, being only five minutes away under the freeway was a relief. We picked this hotel based on reviews because other Carlsbad places had awful reports about bed bugs and mold. Our room was surprisingly spacious, clean, and quiet, and all three of us slept well in the comfortable beds, even though it was right by the elevator. The upgrade from a king suite to a double king suite made my son happy to have a king bed of his own. The woman at the desk, whose name I think started with M, was kind and helpful. The place is a decent size and easy to get around. The room had a living area with a TV, a small kitchenette with a microwave and mini fridge, a pull-out couch, and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. They provided lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body gel, and plenty of towels. The bedroom had the two king beds, another TV, lots of storage, and a small sitting area by the window. We could see the pool from our window, and it looked like there was plenty of seating. My husband and son loved the individually wrapped cookies and milk from 8 to 9 p.m. In the morning, my son and I had the included breakfast. The food selection was great, and the dining area was clean and comfortable. The hotel smelled clean when I checked in, too. My husband and I would happily return and find more things to do in Carlsbad. Other hotels we looked at cost twice as much and weren't nearly as spacious, clean, or nice. We travel often, and this was one of our best hotel stays.
