The Carpentry Hotel

Downtown events can make parking scarce, but this hidden treasure is worth the two-minute walk. I’ve come to love this place in my hometown. For my birthday, I brought friends and family together at the rooftop bar and lounge. Alex, the bartender, really fits the vibe and made a great impression. April, the manager, was sweet and accommodating, and the owners were so hospitable to all of us. The rooms are gorgeous and very clean, the decor is bold and beautiful, and I love the fragrant smell throughout. It’s a small hotel that feels much bigger, with genuine people around. Shout out to the young woman at the front desk on Nov. 7, who was so patient and kind. Iris wasn’t there, but she’s one of my favorites too.

The quiet room and comfortable bed made for a great stay. I also liked the second-floor bar, where outdoor seating gives the place a lively feel. It’s in a charming, energetic downtown area, with an almost direct route to the interstate and Dalton Convention Center. For a boutique hotel, this one really has it all. Don’t hesitate to book this little gem.

We came to town for a wedding and absolutely adored this boutique hotel. The staff went out of their way to welcome us and were super friendly. The rooms and decor have a gorgeous, cool vibe, and the place felt peaceful and relaxed. We loved every moment and detail of our stay. The location was perfect too.

We hadn’t planned to stop overnight in Dalton while driving from Florida to Illinois over two days, but the long day and awful Atlanta traffic changed that. During my hotel search, The Carpentry came up. The reviews looked excellent, it cost less than other places nearby, and the property photos were far more interesting. The building is brand new, with distinctive interiors that celebrate Dalton’s industry. The staff were welcoming and knew their stuff. There are several restaurants right across the street, plus a nice outdoor patio on the second floor. They also provide a complimentary breakfast with a danish and a drink. It was a refreshing break from the drive and from the dull, cookie-cutter, questionable hotels along the expressway. I’d stay here again.
