Damascus Old Mill Inn

The pan-seared trout was amazing, and we really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and pretzel to start. Dessert was good too. We had a wonderful dinner with friends, and both the staff and owners were personable and lovely. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Room 202, which is small but has plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable, everything was spotless, and we never heard other guests coming or going. The white noise maker was so good I bought one when I got home. There were thoughtful touches around the room, from mints and coffee to glasses and water. This was our second stay at the Old Mill Inn, and the people made us feel like part of the place. Michelle kept in touch with all the details from the reservation through arrival, Phillip welcomed us and showed us to the room, and Betty went above and beyond at breakfast to make sure we were cared for. We felt special and appreciated. The location is lovely, with decks, patios, and a yard by the river and waterfall if you just want to sit outside. Everything in town is walkable, including The Appalachian Trail and the Creeper Trail. The Inn's restaurant was delicious, and the bar was fun.

We've stayed in one of their new detached properties, and it was outstanding. Some of the newer accommodations are incredible value, and the rooms are clean. The staff are always friendly too. It's a 10/10 stop and a regular part of our annual road trip. If you need a getaway or somewhere to stay, this is a great choice.

We had a great little staycation with my dog, even though we live only about 20 minutes away. The whole staff made us feel like family and were so good with my dog. The room was spotless, the bed really comfortable, and the balcony view was magical. The restaurant and service were both amazing. There was plenty to do within walking distance or a short drive. I'd absolutely recommend The Damascus Old Mill Inn for a getaway.
