Duffy's Motel

We stopped for a rest on the drive back from Florida. For a two-star property, the room was super clean, and we had a hot shower before watching TV to wind down. The Mexican food truck in the parking lot was an absolute hit. It felt more like a three-star place. Duffy's for the win.

There were roaches in different sizes all over my room. I killed about six just by standing there and looking for them. It's a pet-friendly motel, but if you leave food or water out for your pets, roaches will get into it 🥲. The room was labeled smoke-free, yet the shower curtain and bedspreads had cigarette burn holes.

There's a food truck/restaurant out front, and it's amazing. Best Philly cheese steak, and the Carne Asada Fries were AAAMAZINGGGG!!!

SCAMMERS. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! DON'T PAY BY CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD! The room was quoted at one price on the phone, including my animals. When I checked in, the owner was on the phone with the “new employee” and told her a different price for a week with my animals. I paid it, then the next morning they said I owed another $50 because the “new employee forgot the pet fee.” That's strange, since the person who took my reservation had included it, and the owner gave a new price that included an additional pet fee during check-in. Now they wanted still more money. The rooms were stale and gross. There were burn holes in the covers and window shades, and the floors were so dirty I had to get my broom from my U-Haul and sweep. I took off their covers and used my own because theirs smelled so bad. Management are liars trying to scam people. Brandy was the only person around to speak with.
