Super 8 by Wyndham Danbury

The shower was modern and had different massage settings, and the soap was the best motel or hotel soap I've ever used. Our room and the hallway smelled really clean and nice, which makes me think they addressed the smell mentioned in older reviews. The staff were nice, the room was clean, and the bathroom was spotless. I really liked this location.

I booked a spacious king room with a large, comfortable bed, a fridge, a microwave and a big window that opens. The bathroom was large and very clean, and the updated shower had great pressure and about eight massage settings. The maids did a great job keeping the room clean. For the low rates, the hotel was very nice, and I'd definitely recommend it. I stayed the weekend right after Thanksgiving, and Super 8 had by far the lowest rates in the Danbury area. I initially booked two nights through Expedia, then wanted to add one more. The front desk said they couldn't extend a booking made through Expedia. I explained I didn't want to check out and back in or move to another room, and the man helping me did everything he could to make sure I could keep the same room and avoid the hassle.

The room was clean, and the staff were attentive and polite. I could hear conversations and noise from the hallway and nearby rooms pretty clearly. I waited until checkout to mention it, and the desk staff said they could have moved us if I'd spoken up earlier, so I share some of the blame for not saying anything. Otherwise, it was a decent stay.

Nice staff, clean room, great-working air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a really good price. Everything looked updated. Our room had two beds, but it was packed with furniture wall to wall, leaving very little space to get past each other. It wasn't a big deal for us, though it could bother some people.
