Sleep Inn Beaver - Beckley

I used to stay here whenever I was in the area, but I won't be coming back. The room is comfortable and the front desk staff are nice, but the walls and ceilings seem thin. For the past two nights, cars in the rear lot parked outside our room with their engines on and stereos blaring. I told the front desk, and the kind attendant went out to confront the culprit and said there had been numerous complaints. The cars eventually left, then came back. So much for a quiet stay. I'm not sure whether the hotel's location near some local surroundings has anything to do with the change, but check the aerial view. Don't stay here. Pick somewhere nicer for your vacation or work night, without the stress.

We booked at the last minute while dealing with a death in the family. We were busy with services and relatives, so the room was basically just for sleeping. On the second morning, we found ants all over our toiletries and asked the staff for compensation. They said we'd waited too long in our stay to report it, so they would offer 5,000 points. We're unhappy with both the room problem and the way they handled it.

The room was cool when we arrived, and the freezer in the mini fridge worked well. But the bed was thin and so uncomfortable that I tossed and turned all night. The carpet had holes, the paint was peeling, and the place needs updating. We brought dinner back, and within 20 minutes ants were crawling on the boxes. Early in the morning, a rattling noise woke us up. We think it came from the old pipes, maybe when a shower was turned on.

Sue and Autumn were professional, and both had wonderful personalities. I stayed here in Sept. 2025 for the World Championship Spartan Race weekend, and the staff made me feel very comfortable. A beautiful rainbow greeted me when I arrived. My second-floor non-smoking room was well maintained, with a comfortable mattress. The TV, fridge, microwave, and lights all worked, and the water pressure was good. Thanks to everyone there for a very pleasant stay. God Bless.
