Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia NE - Langhorne by IHG

When we're caught needing an emergency stay, the night staff men make us feel at home and get us cozy out of the snow. We're truck drivers, and our boss is in this location, so it's easy for us to walk in and show our identification. The men who work here are always helpful. The night shift lead, a Black man with locs, and the Indian man who sometimes works mornings took care of my husband and me. That's the kind of experience we want from every business. Thank you IHG and night staff men. They do more than customer care, they made us feel at home. They deserve a raise, don't you think? Holiday Inn can afford it.

The room was sparse, and the king bed was a lumpy, rock-hard thin mattress on a wooden box base. I could've pitched a tent and slept on the ground more comfortably! The hotel's in a nice, quiet spot, staff are pleasant and professional, and cleanliness was good overall.

I asked for a roll-in shower because I'm mobility impaired. After showering on 11/13, the bathroom and foyer were flooded. I had to get down on my hands and knees and use every towel in the room to mop it up, then wait an hour for the floor to dry so I wouldn't slip and fall. I'd never stay here again. My stay 11/12-13/25 was a disaster, minus 5 stars. The ground-floor room's carpet had been sprayed with a chemical, presumably for mold. Within 12 hours I had a severe asthma attack that could have landed me in the hospital. Luckily I had prednisone with me, but five days later I'm still recovering.

The rooms are clean and a nice size, and breakfast is well stocked with things like eggs, pancakes, sausage, and cereal. I was very happy to have coffee available 24x7. A good-value hotel near Sesame Place if that's where you're headed.
