Astoria West

We travel on a budget as two YouTubers and have stayed in plenty of sketchy motels and hole-in-the-wall places, so this one surprised us. The rate had us expecting very little, but the rooms were extremely clean and smelled nice. You can tell the owners take pride in the place, and they're really pleasant to talk with. It's close to the casino, which worked well for the concert we went to. We'll definitely make it our go-to in Danville when we're traveling on a budget. Wish more small motel owners cared for their places like these owners do.

A hotel employee where I was staying recommended Astoria west after they were booked for another night. She said she stays there herself whenever she needs a room. When I arrived, the desk clerk was an incredibly kind and sweet young woman. I don't usually write reviews, but I appreciated my stay so much that I wanted to. Next time I'm in town, I'll stay there again. I'll tell everyone from here to Brooklyn to choose Astoria west when they need a hotel in Danville, Va. You won't be disappointed!

The room was clean and nice, and the woman at the front desk was adorable and really helpful. It's a cared-for hotel that doesn't cost a fortune. We'll be back for the annual music festival, Rooster Walk. What a gem.

We've been staying at this motel on and off for a little over three years, ever since we lost our home in a fire. We've had to deal with a lot, so service matters most to me. The new couple alternating at the front desk are respectful and hospitable, and they've been patient when we've put together payment later than preferred. They've also worked with us on discounts and matching lower online prices. The service has almost always been 10/10. Our rooms have always been exceptionally clean when we arrive, and we're starting to see small upgrades here and there. They also have smoking and non-smoking rooms, if that's what you're looking for.
