Days Hotel & Conference Center by Wyndham Danville

I've stayed in plenty of hotels, and this was one of the worst. The room was ice cold when I walked in because the heat was off, though I could turn it on myself. The toilet water looked like it hadn't been flushed in a while, and the shower stayed lukewarm with the hot turned all the way up. There was no exhaust fan. The breakfast area was clean as a whistle, meaning there was nothing available, and the vending machines didn't work. The elevator felt sketchy and only worked some of the time. Maybe that explains the empty parking lot.

For one of the cheapest places for miles around, this is good value. The location is convenient, and I felt safe in the neighborhood. The service was fantastic. Both employees I met worked hard to take care of people during a snowstorm. The rooms could use a deep clean and some small repairs to the floorboards and carpets, but they were decent, even if not perfectly clean. It wasn't as bad as some reviews suggest.

We found used tissues in the bathroom and stains on the sheets. Staff heard our request for clean sheets but said there were no vacant rooms to move us to. Later that evening we spotted the first of many roaches. The room wasn't worth even the cheap price. They provide tiny quarter-sized soap bars and one 1oz shampoo bottle. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

For $130, I expected a lot more. Check-in felt like an interrogation, and they didn't have our correct room, giving us two small beds instead of a king. Breakfast wasn't available, the pool was out of order, there was no hot water, and the elevators were broken. I could go on, but save yourself the trouble. Maybe I'd understand if it were $25.
