We only needed a room for one night because the casino was full. The room was neat and clean, the grounds looked well kept, and we didn't see the strange activity I'd experienced at another Danville hotel. The price was great for the quality. We nearly skipped this place because we thought it might be run down, but I'm glad we gave it a chance. We'd stay again if we're in the area.

We were there for a family wedding and had three rooms, including two for bridesmaids. We were pretty high maintenance and constantly needed things, but the staff stayed professional through a stressful time for the mother of the bride, her sister, and her best friend and bridesmaid. They handled every issue, big or small, and the front desk staff were amazing. The owner was very friendly, and I don't think a big chain would have spent that much time with our wedding party. Smoking was allowed in the rooms, which is why we stayed. The arboretum is stunning, and we enjoyed complimentary coffee while taking a break from all the wedding preparation. They'll soon have a Brazilian steak house on site.

I wasn't satisfied with the first room, and the replacement had the same problem. Cleanliness is next to Godliness, and this hotel didn't meet that standard. The young woman at the counter was helpful, but I decided to go to another hotel.

The room never got cleaned, there was no room service, and we had to deal with basic needs ourselves. Heat barely worked and the shower wasn't right either. We spent almost $500 over several days, and with our child along, the hassle meant we stayed longer than we wanted to instead of leaving right away. The staff made things worse. At check-in, the front desk woman said she'd come inspect the room, then kept saying she was waiting on the boss. We later realized that wasn't true and felt she was avoiding the problem. When he eventually showed up, he said nothing was wrong, even though the heat wasn't coming on. We raised it again the next day and got help close to checkout. She also promised to reimburse me $30, then denied saying it and offered a room change instead. On our last day, a male staff member made a huge fuss over red juice on one towel, saying he'd have to pay for it. We have a child. I sarcastically offered him $2 for a replacement towel because his reaction was way out of line and unprofessional. The hotel is poorly kept, and the staff were rude, dishonest, and no help. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for families or anyone expecting basic hospitality.

The price was good, but the place was rough, and I wouldn't stay there again. I drive for a living and have been in motels all over the USA. I've seen worse, but not by much. People seem to live there, and there was traffic all night, with knocking, shouting, fights, arguments, and doors slamming. The hotel has cameras everywhere, with the monitor visible in the lobby. They seem to know what's going on and not care as long as they're making money. You can hear everything through the paper-thin walls, and the door locks seemed questionable. They don't clean your room unless you ask. For fresh towels, you have to walk to the laundry room and hand in the used ones. I'd rather pay more for sleep and safety.
