Super 8 Danville VA

Amy is great, and this place is great. It's such a clean, cozy little gem in a really good area, with great TV options. The deal is really good too. I'd recommend it over the other cheaper places around here. I can't say enough, it's perfect.

There was no soundproofing, so I heard every passing car and conversations in the hall all night. The mattress sagged badly in the middle, and the night was restless. In the morning, I found another cockroach on the wall behind a towel and got a picture before it scurried away. The one I'd found under a pillow the night before was already enough to put me off, though I flushed it and checked the room without seeing any more then. I arrived exhausted after driving 11 hrs non stop to the Super 8 in Danville,VA. The elevator was broken, all the beverage machines were out of order, and in the first room, the wall switch didn't work, so I had to cross the dark room to turn on a lamp. The refrigerator, TV, and alarm clock were dead too. I asked for another room on the 3rd floor. Its TV and fridge worked, so I planned to go straight to bed. Cockroaches were just the beginning. Just a horrible experience all the way around.

The courteous staff and clean, nice rooms made this a good stay. I found it a great value compared with the other hotels in the area. Breakfast had lots of choices, and the shower ran a little warmer than the one at home. I enjoyed staying at Super-8.

The beds were comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. The room had enough furnishings, and the water tasted good. It's a cheaper hotel, but maintenance doesn't seem to be keeping up. It feels like the owner is cutting costs.
