We ended up camping in the nearby national forest because the room was so filthy. The sheets had fresh stains and clearly hadn't been washed, there were marks on the walls and flies all over. I can't even think about that tub and shower without feeling sick. Darby is a charming little town that's working hard to bring in visitors, but after that stay we didn't spend much time or money there. For $50, I expected a basic motel room, and could've put up with some dust or old stains. This didn't feel like a real budget inn at all.

The office attendant was warm and friendly, and the room smelled clean. Fresh sheets, a clean tub and shower, and a heater that kept us warm through a snowy day in Darby, MT. No complaints. I'm thankful to find a motel that gives my two kids and me a comfortable stay we can afford, so we can travel and enjoy this beautiful state. Thanks, Budget Inn.

We had to use our own blankets after finding spots and hair on the sheets, and there were dirty towels in the room too. The ceiling leaked onto our clothes, and they didn't seem to care. The bed was hard and short, and so was the shower head. Yuck. Don't waste your money or time here.

Nobody was at the office when I arrived for my reservation. I spent a couple of hours knocking and calling, with no response. The place looked filthy, almost like a crack house. A local who came over called the owner a "douche bag". I finally walked a quarter mile to the Travelers Rest, where the service was actually there and the place was very clean. I can't recommend that place enough. Don't waste your money here.

There was no toilet paper, and the shower had weak water pressure. The room and shower ceilings both leaked. Some outlet covers were missing, the door could be opened even when locked, and one of the three light bulbs didn't work.
