Extended Stay America Select Suites - Chicago - Darien

I stayed here during the summer for work, and the staff were helpful whenever we needed something. The rooms were nice enough, and the AC kept things cool through the hot weather. The kitchen was pretty average, with a sink that felt especially small when washing dishes. The keycards stopped working often, so I had to make the quick walk to the front desk every so often. That seems to be a system issue. Still, it’s a good place to stay if you’re in the area for a longer stretch.

There wasn't any coffee anywhere. When I asked, they said, “we don't do coffee here,” which is something I’ve never heard at a hotel. And if you go outside at night, your key won't open the door, so you get locked out. I WON'T ever be back! The lady who checked me in was extremely nice, though, so the star is for her.

Tracy was awesome. She made check-in easy and helped me feel safe during my stay. Thanks for such a peaceful experience. Just another trucker needing rest.

Front desk service was amazing, and the location was great. The parking lot was fully lit, the rooms were clean, and the housekeepers were very nice. I usually have trouble with humidity or mold smells, but there was none of that here. I slept comfortably.
