I stayed for a few weeks, and honestly, this was a last-resort option. The roaches were everywhere. I kept the bathroom light on at night, spent about $100 on different poisons and traps, and used several rolls of duct tape trying to seal the walls, but it didn't stop them. I couldn't cook because roaches ran around in the microwave. Furniture and curtains had burn marks from what looked like past drug use. I'd bleach surfaces until they looked clean, but a paper towel would still come away black. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked well most of the time, and the shower got hot. I was given toilet paper whenever I made a payment. The manager is nice enough and more willing to work with you than most. It's extremely pet-friendly with no extra charges, though nobody cleans up after their pets. Neighbors can seem sketchy because everyone is in a similar situation, but they were friendly once I introduced myself. The manager may offer work if you have skills, but the pay can be pennies on the dollar when you're desperate for housing. I did several hours of push mowing for $30 and a $1,000 pressure-washing job for $100. That one's on me for accepting while I was trying hard to stay housed. If you pay rent on time, they're not bad people. Just don't fall behind, because the bill can blow up with 'late fees.'
