Atlantic Economy Inn

The AC worked great, and the beautiful beach is right across the street. There are also lots of beachfront restaurants and clothing shops nearby, plus a boardwalk with an amusement park. The owner checks with housekeeping to make sure you have what you need. But something in the room kept biting me. I looked for bed bugs and didn't find any, yet I had bites all over my arms. I should've complained. The shower head had an uneven flow, and the toilet was loose and made noise whenever I sat down or got up. 😆

It felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional when the woman said something to my friend about me coming over to see them. She shouldn't have done that. Then she claimed she'd seen me in other rooms. Why lie?

The bathroom drain backed up twice, leaving water all over the floor. It soaked two pairs of my socks and the legs of my pajama pants. The towels were dirty too, and the room wasn't worth what I paid. The owners refused to give me even a partial refund. The hotel was nothing like I expected, and it needs to do better. I only stayed because everything else was booked for bike weekend. If you're going to Daytona Beach, don't stay here. Never again.

The pool was a hit with my son, he learned to swim there. We brought the whole family, and the beach is super close. For $50 a night, it was honestly a great deal. At night we could sit outside and have a beer.
