Budget Inn Express

The rooms were surprisingly clean and the beds were soft. Apart from one towel with a long black hair on it, things were clean, and the quiet area felt safe. The price was good, and I'd stay again if I were in a pinch, though the room smelled damp and moldy. My fiancée and I arrived at 11pm and were told there was no late checkout. The woman at the desk was rude and rushed. My elderly mother, who can't see well, had booked the room. When we'd finished, the woman stared at her and snapped, "What else do u need?" The owner paced around at 10am to make sure no one stayed past that time. The desk woman also asked my age, and I'm not sure why that mattered. There's no coffee or breakfast. I don't know if the hotel had Wi-Fi, since there was no room phone or any way to reach anyone if the front desk didn't answer.

For what it costs, this is one of the better motels I've stayed in in Florida. The room had a modern look and felt like I'd paid more than I did. The maid was very nice, and my one-night stay was great. I'll be back.

I was surprised by the ratings after reading them. I spent one night here and enjoyed it: the room was clean and well maintained, parking was close by, and the atmosphere was nice. The price was affordable, and it's only minutes from the main tourist spots with the beach within a reasonable walk. A coffee maker would have been nice, but I'd happily stay again.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, because the owner was outrageously rude and intimidating. We booked online, but when we arrived they didn't honor that rate. We were charged another $150, then an extra $9 for everyone except the man who had booked the room. There were four of us, but we were given only one key. Whenever we came or went, the owner stepped outside to watch us. The rest of us were yelled at and told we were in the wrong place and hadn't booked a room there. We were in town for Collage cheerleading nationals and were getting dressed for a night out with two friends when the owner called the police, saying there were too many people in the room. Our friends hadn't been there longer than an hour, and we were quiet and respectful. While we were loading the car to leave, the owner went into the room and said we'd be charged for a missing sheet and towel. We hadn't taken or wanted either one. I don't know how this place is still in business. The problem wasn't that it was cheap and run down, it was the way we were treated.
