There was a bug or roach, or something, crawling out from behind the mini fridge, so be careful if bugs bother you. There’s also a $100 cash deposit for the room, and after the way I was treated, I doubt I’ll see it again. I don’t feel safe leaving the room unattended or even parking my car there. The hotel looked decent for the price, but the woman named Mina at the front desk was a problem. The only “friendly” smile I got came with a raised voice and vulgar language. I called customer care to make management aware, hoping they’d offer hospitality training. My husband and I were hard pressed to find somewhere available, or I wouldn’t have stayed.

In our two nights there, the fridge barely kept things cool. Its back was packed with ice, it had no freezer section, and we ended up relying on our cooler full of ice. The towels and bed linens were stained, and my daughter and wife were horrified by the place. The worst thing I saw was the hideous shower head. This was the worst hotel experience we’ve had, and it’s a disgrace for Wyndham to have its name on the property. I’d confirmed with the front desk that our room was non-smoking, but the outdoor hallway near room 202 smelled strongly of cigarettes. My daughter also noticed a hole in the wall, another in the floor, and stains on the carpet.

The owner is really nice, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are always very clean, and there’s a clean pool too. They brought the kids a huge selection of free snacks whenever they wanted. We’ve booked three rooms with the children, and my kids look for the staff as soon as we arrive, especially my two-year-old. The rates are great for the quality, with a fishing park, beach, and restaurants nearby. We’re looking forward to our next stay.

The rate was surprisingly low, which I always appreciate. The room wasn’t especially clean, and the decor looked a bit old and worn. I’d stay again if I needed to, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
