Ocean Walk Collection

The property itself was beautiful, with wonderful outdoor pools and a great location, but the rules and service made the stay far less enjoyable. Security gave conflicting directions about parking, and the front desk lectured me instead of clearly explaining how visitors could come and go. They warned that if someone they didn’t know was on the property with me and got hurt, they could sue me. That didn’t feel like vacation hospitality. We were there for a bike event, and each unit was allowed only two parking spaces. Family staying elsewhere couldn’t visit without using another garage that charged $30-$45 per day. Motorcycles had to pay the same rate. After a car accident left us with one fewer vehicle, we asked if the motorcycles could use our assigned spaces temporarily, since it was after 10 PM. Instead of helping, staff made it a big ordeal, asked for photos of drivers’ licenses and license plates, and treated us as if we were breaking serious rules. It felt more like a prison than a resort. We never had an easy time getting in or out of the garage. Getting a cart for luggage or groceries was another hassle. Each time, we had to go down to the front desk, wait in line, hand over a driver’s license, then return it downstairs later. That was especially frustrating with several children.

The pool area was wonderful, and the staff were amazing. Our room was pretty run down for the price, though. The dishes were dirty, there was stuff on top of the fridge and under the beds, and the floors hadn’t been cleaned by check-in. The AC didn’t work in half the unit.

The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful, and the pools and outdoor spaces stayed clean and were fun to spend time in. The room was a good size, clean, and well kept. I found the beds a bit hard, but had no other room issues. I only wish the hotel offered more snacks and breakfast.

The hotel and surrounding area were clean and well managed, and the location was great. My only small drawback was that the tall hotel blocks some sunlight from reaching the pool. Around 1:30 pm, you may need to head down to the beach for sun.
