Comfort Inn Near Greenfield Village

The pool was cold with just a little warm water, and duct tape was around the holes. The desk clerk, a middle-aged woman wearing a head scarf, was very rude. I asked why early check-in cost extra if the room was clean and ready, but she kept talking to someone else, pointed to the 3:00pm check-in sign, and said there was nothing she could do. We arrived at 9:04 a m, and she first said 1:30pm was the earliest, then said it would cost fifty dollars to check in right away. We had to pay for the room, a deposit, and another fifty dollars. When we got there, the room had been clean for 4 days, and the maids said nobody had stayed in it for 4 days. There was also a domestic violence situation outside, with a man yelling at his girlfriend beside his car, which was still running, and the cops were called. The hotel has cameras everywhere, even by the pool, but no other security. Staff had conversations around guests as if they weren't there, and it felt like employees could do whatever they wanted while guests were expected to follow the rules. Nasty, absolutely triflin. It was my first and last visit. Don't waste your time or money here. Racism was thick in the air, too, so if you're not their type of people, don't expect kindness or respect.

I stayed a whole week, and it was the worst week I've ever had. More than six times, I asked reception to clean my room, but nothing happened. The rooms were disgusting, and I heard other guests complaining too, with no results. The service and treatment were terrible, with no respect for customers or any effort to provide decent help. This was my first and last stay here. The whole staff needs replacing. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

The breakfast was better than what I've had at many high-end hotels, with scrambled eggs, a waffle machine, hotlinks, and lots of drinks. The door stays open 24 hours, which made late check-in possible. I walked about 20 mins along the railroad to the Ford museum. The room felt about 20 years old and smelled when I entered. There was debris and hair on the bed. A train ran outside the window, so I had to keep both layers of the window closed to block the noise.

The pool was warm enough for my two children under four to have a blast, which was the silver lining. There is no hot tub here, though, and I'd have preferred one and a working computer. I stayed two nights and couldn't print the documents I needed at the front desk because the guy couldn't be bothered to look anywhere beyond what was right in front of him. I cleaned and sanitized the room myself, then two random men knocked and demanded to measure the window right then, with no notice. They walked through our space with their shoes on. Later that night, another male guest randomly opened our hotel room door. I was alone with small children, so it was a nightmare. After that, our keys demagnetized, leaving us wet in the hallway after the pool. Breakfast was cereal, somehow with no milk. Do not stay here.
