The Henry Ford museum is 2.3 miles away. I took an Uber there and walked back, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, along with a Kroger. My room was clean overall, the bed covers were clean underneath, the place had been vacuumed well, and the TV worked. There were a few stray hairs in the sink and shower, but I shed too, so what’s one more hair? I didn’t connect to the password-protected Wi-Fi, which is good for light cyber security, though you should always be careful on public Wi-Fi. I only checked the door lock after coming back from eating. The striker plate didn’t line up with the deadbolt, so the lock had been jerry-rigged. I told the front desk when I checked out.

The young man at the front office was professional and gave great customer service, all with a smile. The room was comfortable and very clean, and I loved my stay. Great experience overall, and I’d definitely stay here again.

I have severe anxiety about sleeping anywhere but home because of germs, but room 221 was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and up to date. The front desk and housekeeping staff were warm and welcoming, and they addressed all my concerns quickly. By far the best hotel I’ve stayed at, and the best experience I’ve had.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough, but the hotel felt outdated and gave us the ick. We skipped breakfast. The shower settings weren’t great and the water pressure was terrible, which matters a lot to me when judging a hotel. The pool was gross. The water was cloudy and the room smelled when we went in. There was no sign on the door or note at the desk saying it was closed, so I guess they don’t care if it’s dirty. The room itself smelled like sewage when I first walked in, apparently from the bathroom. Running the shower water helped, but the smell was very off-putting at first. The front desk person was nice when we arrived, though the desk was dusty because they were doing construction and painting in the lobby. The location was the only good thing. We stayed one night, and I’m glad that was all. I would NOT come back.
