Update: I disputed the charge with my credit card company after the hotel refused to refund us. The reply said the records showed the room was occupied, which is true since we went in and found bugs. But do those records show that we left a couple of hours after “occupying” it? If a manager had been there, they probably would. There's no need to twist what happened. We only came because the reviews looked good, though I should've been suspicious when the room listing had just one photo. We got a suite, but the rooms were in really bad shape. The stained floor and carpet were torn up, and there were flies. We tried to overlook it all until I saw a disgusting bug crawling across the floor. My family and I left without sleeping there that night. The manager wouldn't refund us, saying we'd “checked out,” even though no one was available that night. I don't understand the glowing reviews. Our experience was nothing like that, and I definitely don't recommend it.

The ventilation unit shown in the picture made so much noise in the room that my family and I couldn't sleep well. The suite I rented really isn't suitable for sleeping, it would be better as storage or something. The furniture was old and poorly kept too. Terrible experience all around. I don't recommend this hotel 😕.

We didn't even stay the night, leaving before 11 p.m., but management still refused a refund and pointed to a “no return” policy. Finding a bug crawling across the floor that night was the final straw, after we'd already noticed flies and a strong bad smell. The room was filthy and poorly kept, with stains on the carpet, couch and bedding, damaged fixtures, and loose door hinges. The staff showed no accountability over the cleanliness and maintenance issues. One of the worst hotel stays I've had. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay at Staybridge Suites Dearborn, you never know what you're going to get.

Michael is the best hotel manager we've experienced. Our daughter uses a wheelchair, so we need a first-floor disability suite with a roll-in shower. Christian helped us book a suitable room last year, but this time we ran into a lot of difficulty. Michael tried hard to accommodate us and, despite some issues, found the accommodations we needed at another hotel. He even called to make sure we were okay. We couldn't have asked for better care. He was kind, understanding, compassionate, professional and knowledgeable, and we're very grateful to him. We hope to return next year and stay at Staybridge. Thank you again, Michael!
