The staff is great, and the general manager is really, really awesome. Everything smells great, the rooms are clean, and the beds feel crisp and fresh. This is easily the best Candlewood I’ve stayed at, and the best hotel in Decature. I just checked out this morning and already can’t wait to come back for more nights. This is THE place to stay in Decatur TX.

Collin checked us in, and it was clear he cared about whether we enjoyed our visit. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. The hotel was clean, quiet, and well maintained, and we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Tracy, Nancy, and their employees were so great to spend time with that it felt like being at home with cool roommates. The renovated rooms are nice, and the location is great. Candlewood is flexible with long term stay rates, which I really appreciate. I travel over 275 days a year and, after leaving Hilton because of poor service and no long term stay rates, Candlewood quickly became my favorite. This Decatur hotel is now my favorite of all time. I don’t know why people stay anywhere else. Kudos, Candlewood of Decatur, you’ve earned my most favorite hotel ever award!
10/10
The room was cool, clean, and spacious, a great fit for a hot summer day. The water pressure was strong and the internet was fast. Sonia at the front desk was so kind and accommodating. She happily answered all my questions and even walked me through a room so I could see the accommodations. Thanks, Sonia, for making our stay pleasant and memorable!

We ended up needing an unexpected stay at Decatur Hospital, which is also 5 stars, and this was a perfect spot. The service was great, and it was much quieter than the local “I’m smart because I stayed at this brand motel last night” on the highway.
