Best Western Valencia Inn

We stayed here with family once before, and I won’t come back. The parking area wasn’t well kept and felt questionable at night. A side entrance was broken, so anyone could get in after dark. In the room, the bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were rock hard, and the heating and cooling unit didn’t work well enough to tell what temperature it was set to. The room itself was somewhat clean. On our extended stay, the desk said they didn’t offer room service, but would take the trash and bring towels; the cleaning staff were nice and did complete the service. We’d asked well ahead of time for a first-floor room, but that request was ignored.

The price was very reasonable, and I’d stay here again. My room was quiet enough even though the hotel is next to the 5. I’d asked for a room on the side away from the freeway, and that helped. The place was clean and comfortable, and the front desk service was great. It’s close to Magic Mountain, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. There’s a Dennys in the parking lot, and across the street I saw a Starbucks, a Mexican restaurant, and maybe a few other places.

My sister and I stayed here last night before going to Six Flags today. The rooms were awesome, but after breakfast we made it only about two hours at the park before we had to leave with diarrhea and vomiting. We spent all that money on the trip, and it was wasted because something was wrong with the breakfast.

The rooms, service, location, and breakfast are all great, and we used to love staying here. But the jacuzzi was a big part of why we’d come back after a long day at Six Flags or on the road, and now it’s gone. We’re bummed and looking for a new regular hotel.
