Extended Stay America Long Island Melville

After a long drive, I needed somewhere to stay late at night. They had a room for me, check-in was easy, and it was clean with a comfortable bed. I’d stay here again.

I’m in the area for contract work and keep looking for good value. Extended Stay Melville has been a reliable choice every time. The rooms are spotless, the staff are friendly, and check-in and check-out are quick.

I checked out a day early. This Extended Stay Suites in Melville, NY was a miserable stay, and I almost never post Google reviews. The room wasn’t serviced: no fresh sheets, no bed made, and towels had to be requested and exchanged. The floors were sticky, maybe from old spills, and the shower kept backing up. On top of that, the bathroom fan rattled loudly. There wasn’t a single positive. They charge $1,000 or more during the Ryder Cup, which is outrageous, and even the usual $100-$200 rate is too much. It’s a $50-a-night dive at best, maybe somewhere you’d end up if your car broke down nearby. Avoid it. This place is a dumpster fire. And please don’t reply with a generic apology or ask me to contact you. Staying in a tent outside would be better. I left a day early. Do better or shut down. I’d give zero or negative stars if I could.

I’m on the road for work every week, and this ranks among the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. The price makes no sense for what you get. The room was disgusting, and the woman at the front desk wasn’t friendly or helpful. I even found a crack pipe under the bed. The sketchy feel was already there when I drove in. I definitely can’t recommend this location.
