There were roaches in both rooms, and the second one had two. I ended up keeping my belongings on the bed, hoping nothing would get into them, and showering in the dark because its bathroom had no light. The first room had a stained bedspread, a smell, and an uncovered bathroom vent. Its location was hard to find in the poor lighting, too. At the desk, I was told the online reservation couldn't be honored because their system was down, and that I had to pay cash even though I had already paid online. They said the online payment would be refunded, but I still haven't received it. I had no cash with me, so I had to leave to get some. When I returned and saw the first room, I asked to switch. They offered to refund me because it was their best room, but after a long day I didn't want to find another hotel. I asked for a different room, maybe upstairs, hoping there would be fewer roaches. They moved me three doors down.

The motel is in a pretty rundown condition, though it was cheap. Our toilet and sink both leaked, and it's about 15 miles west of town, out of the way. I wouldn't stay there again.

The front desk person was friendly and helpful, and the room was okay. But with the lights off, bugs came out. The deadbolt was broken, the TV screen was cracked, and the toilet seat was unattached.

I booked online, then was told their system had been down for days and they wouldn't give me a refund. I couldn't even be moved to another location. It felt like they legally robbed me.
