Days Inn by Wyndham Del Rio

After several trips and looking around the area, this is one of the best budget motels I've found. It's clean, the staff are friendly, the mattresses are good, and there's continental breakfast. A bit run down, but you get solid value for your money. Other motels nearby often have water damage that makes the building smell, or other problems. The phone system could be better, though. I often have to go in person just to check prices.

Although the outside looks old, we strongly recommend this hotel. Our first-floor room facing the pool had two exit doors, which I didn't prefer for security reasons. Inside, it was remodeled, with nice floors, a clean bathroom, lots of space, and a comfy desk chair. The location is right next to a police station, the hot breakfast was great, and the rates were fair. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Hidden gem.

I arrived late, and Nate? was a big help. He took the time to suggest a safer route home to Colorado and recommend a good local restaurant for the next morning, which a lot of employees wouldn't bother doing. Thanks, Nate! I'm loyal now and will be back. Give that man a raise! Christopher A.

The rooms were really nice and housekeeping kept them very clean. The pool looked great, though we couldn't use it because we had a lot planned during our stay. It's close to everything, and getting in and out was easy.
