The new rooms are nice, but the gambling machines are super tight and I don't like the rewards program. Even after dropping $500, you don't get the free rooms you used to. Until they change that, I'll pass on staying here. You'll need a "Good luck" wish to win at the Casa Blanca!

The refried beans were a little dry, though I'm not sure if they're usually like that or it was just an off day. Everything else was great: delicious food, good service, and reasonable prices for town. I had dinner at Rita’s & Fajitas, which I couldn't find on Google Maps, so I'm leaving my review here.

I came for the annual balloon festival, and there's also an annual car show. The Casablanca is about 50 minutes north of the Racetrack in North Las Vegas and about 45 minutes south of Saint George Utah. Rooms are reasonably priced and discounted in summer. There's plenty here for adults: slots, table games, a cafe, a high-end Steakhouse, a coffee shop and an ice cream shop. The pool is large, with rentable Cabanas, and there are concerts by the pool and in the showroom through the year. There's a small RV Park with about 20 spots, though I could be wrong about the number. Out front, the fountain and pond make a nice photo spot, but contact the company to check that your dates don't overlap with pond cleaning or other maintenance. There are electric car charging stations, around 7 to 10 if I recall, and valet service too. The sports book desk is extremely small; for a full Sportsbook, head to their sister property across town at the Virgin River, which has a nice setup. This isn't a place to bring children, since there's little for them to do beyond the pool and regular cable TV. The Virgin River has a bowling alley, an arcade and multiple pools.

The pool bar was a lot of fun, and the showroom had great live music. We had a fantastic long weekend with friends. The remodeling looks terrific, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

The golf course was pretty good, at least. Our first room smelled like feces, and every restaurant was disgusting, with awful service and prices that were way too high. I can't believe we spent so much for such a terrible stay. We could've driven another hour to Vegas, and I'd rather have slept in my car than stay in that gross hotel. Never again.
