Roaches in the room, clumps of hair on the bathroom wall, and crumbs and stains on the sheets. The shower towels were stained too, and there was less than half a roll of toilet paper with no spare. The whole building is old, and the rooms are worse. This is the most disgusting place I’ve stayed in my life, no exaggeration. I expected it to be decent. Spend a little more and stay anywhere else.

They charged me $150 for smoking in the room, and I did not smoke there. The manager said there were cigarette butts on the counter, which is a straight-up lie. Maybe they were from another room, or someone picked them up from the parking lot, but they weren’t mine. They either had the wrong room or blamed me for someone else’s butts. The manager was very rude. Scandalous.

After four hours of driving on a Friday evening, my girl and I just needed somewhere to rest before continuing our trip in the morning. We’d checked prices at a couple of hotels after exiting the freeway, and this one was very reasonable. I didn’t want to spend too much for one night, especially after what we’d paid in Victorville. The guy at the office was nice when I checked in, and he politely pointed us toward an area near waltmar when I asked where to get food. The overnight-shift girl was kind too, and it was reassuring to have someone at the front desk if we needed anything. Our room was cozy and very clean, with a microwave, fridge, good-sized TV, cabinets, a nice sink, a huge mirror for the ladies, a hair dryer, and an iron. The shower head was a highlight, with strong water pressure and hot water that came quickly. I’d recommend staying a night or a few nights.

It smells bad and the hotel is in poor condition. Still, it’s the cheapest place in the area, so you can’t expect much.
