Greenwood Inn

Saturday 9/7/2024. There wasn't even a name on the building, and the office had no air, though that didn't bother me much. The room smelled strongly of urine, and they'd tried to cover it with strong cologne. The man didn't want to give me a refund. Nobody should go there, not even a dog.

We only stayed because the hurricane left us with absolutely nowhere else to go. The place was disgusting. The shower was moldy, the faucets looked ready to fall off, and I'm not sure the sheets were clean. The manager first gave us a key to a room that wasn't ready, then went around peeking through the windows of other rooms to check if the beds were made. The lampshades had holes, and some lamps didn't work. Bad, bad, bad.

I had to sleep in a chair because there were so many roaches around the bed. The room was filthy when I arrived, so I had to clean it myself because management wasn't available to fix things. There were roaches in the bed area and refrigerator, both dead ones in the fridge and live ones crawling around the room. The towels were dirty, and trash from the previous guests was still there. The next morning I showed management photos, but he said he didn't care and wouldn't refund any of my money for the inconvenience. My experience was awful. Please don't stay at this motel.

I had to move out of the first room because the drywall was literally falling apart. In the second room, both the sink and tub were stopped up, and the broken bed frame had to be fixed before I could use the bed. The mattresses and box springs looked salvaged from the garbage, with a blanket placed between them and the threadbare sheets. This motel is in a sorry state of disrepair. I won't stay again, it isn't worth it.
