We could get from our room to the sand in just a few steps, which made beach naps easy with the kids. That direct access was a game changer. There are also public beaches you can walk to on either side, an ice cream shop one way, and The Sailing Cow the other. We tried The Sailing Cow and it was phenomenal. Our family unit had two bedrooms, a pull-out couch, and a kitchenette with a stove and oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and mini fridge with freezer. It had most of what we needed for snacks and sandwiches, plus hang-up space in the bedrooms, puzzles, and games. The courtyard is big and grassy, so the kids rode their scooters while we relaxed. We were on the first floor and could keep an eye on them. At night after they went to bed, we did a little shoreline fishing, which Ben was obsessed with. Customer service was incredible. They arranged for us to stay right next to our family. We didn't use the guest grill this time, but we'll definitely use it next time. We'll be back.

We've returned to the Garlands every year since 2017. It's peaceful, people are friendly, and the Cape location is great. We like walking around the area and feel safe doing so, and the views are beautiful. As return guests, we've seen steady improvements over the years, including kitchen and bed upgrades and outside chairs. The staff are friendly too.

This has such a good vibe for a beach person like me. I was in heaven checking in and will return. The sunrises and sunsets are great, and you can hear the waves with the door open. It's a hidden gem, even if someone can always find something negative about a place.

The room was on the small side but had enough space and a kitchenette. We had a nice ocean view, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Tim left the key out since we were arriving late. Highly recommend.

Our first year at The Garlands was a success. The room had an ocean view, and we enjoyed it from the balcony, which had chairs and a table. Stairs led right down to the beach and ocean, great for swimming and fishing. There are good restaurants, local coffee shops, bakeries, and ice cream shops a short drive away, with some close enough to walk to. The price was great, and the owners of our unit left a thank-you note and a bottle of wine, a nice touch.
