Four days into a weeklong work stay, I noticed my receipt charged me for a deluxe room with a microwave and fridge, but I’d been put in a bare-bones basic room. Until then I’d already been dealing with a broken heater and a warped door that wouldn’t shut all the way. They said I could switch only if they couldn’t fix the heater. They did fix it, but the door stayed broken, and I was also upset that there were no appliances in my room. Getting moved turned into a whole ordeal. The front desk said a manager had to handle it, so I left work to meet him. I moved out, but the replacement room wasn’t ready and I was told to come back for a key later. As far as I knew, I’d checked out of my old room, so I had nowhere to sleep between shifts and ended up napping in a parking lot. That night there still wasn’t a new room. They said the only option was a nonsmoking room because the other smoking rooms were booked, even though their website showed smoking rooms available to book that night. After a big argument, they blamed me for not catching their mistake sooner and said I should just stay in the basic room, despite the broken door and the deluxe charge. Reluctantly, they moved me to a “deluxe room” with a smaller bed. I went to heat up my dinner and found a mini fridge, but no microwave. This place is a joke. I’ve stayed at many Motel 6 locations, but never again. They’ve lost me as a customer for life.

I needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours late at night. For this price, it’s about what you’d expect: basic, but fine for one night. Check-in was quick and easy even though I arrived very late. Just know the highway noise is noticeable.

They got my daughter and me checked in quickly, and I’m grateful. I arrived in the middle of the night trying to keep my kiddo warm, and they helped us out. The room was clean and the TV was new. We were in room 214. I had a lot of stuff and was on my own, but nobody rushed me when it was time to leave or made me feel pushed out. I let housekeeping know politely that I was packing, and she said okay and went on her way.

I found booking individual nights through Hotels.com came out cheaper than the motel’s direct weekly quote of $450.49. The app total was $319. Management was clearly frustrated because they prefer guests to pay the standard weekly rate directly. If you’re trying to save, booking through a third-party app worked better for me than asking at the front desk.

My wife and I found cockroaches on the bed and crawling across the floor while unpacking in our first room. It looked okay at first, but the room was filthy, I couldn’t walk barefoot, and there was some kind of stain on the sheets. The front desk moved us to a room with two beds, but I still wasn’t happy with how it looked. We had no choice but to stay because I knew I wouldn’t get a refund. I wouldn’t recommend this motel to anyone.
