Red Roof Inn Columbia East - Ft Jackson

I didn't expect the Ritz, just a clean room with the basic amenities we needed, and that's what we got. The front desk staff, both day and night, were courteous and respectful. Maintenance and housekeeping were kind and helpful too. I've had a great experience at this Red Roof location and have no complaints. I'd stay again if I needed to.

After a 10-hour drive, all I wanted was a chance to relax and sleep, but someone played loud music from a vehicle for most of the night. The rooms weren't very clean either, and the bed coverings need updating. Worst hotel stay I've had. I would NOT recommend it.

The people were pleasant, and the beds were comfortable, but the rooms are old and the pillows were lousy. Bedding and towels had stains, water flow was low, and the sink drained poorly. There was also a lot of garbage around the grounds.

My fiancée and I stayed there regularly for eight months, never caused trouble, and housekeeping had never complained about us. Then a few weeks ago, they hired a new housekeeper who wears a black bonnet, and she started making accusations about something we didn't do. She's the only person who's complained. They say there's proof, but after we asked several times, they still haven't shown us any. They tell us to speak to the owner because she put our names on the DNR list, but I can never get her number when I ask. Nobody has even asked for our side. It's unfair and unprofessional.
