The biggest letdown was the advertised bar being closed, one of the main reasons I booked. Next time I'll call ahead to ask whether the listed facilities are open and working. We spent four days over Thanksgiving in the Presidential Suite. Check-in and checkout were easy, done by text, and I just picked up the key at the desk. The continental breakfast was the usual waffles, eggs, sausage links, and juice. But even after I asked, the bed wasn't changed during our stay, only the towels were replaced. The bathroom needs improvement for a Presidential Suite, and one small trash can filled up quickly. Both TVs used the same remote. Lamps made the room dim, the lights above the bed didn't work, and there was no ironing board. The location is in a tight but cozy spot off the interstate.

Breakfast was fantastic, and the 1539 crew did a great job. They deserve five stars. The gym didn't have a spray bottle for cleaning the equipment, though. The room was cold because of a draft from the door, but turning on the heat warmed it up. The sink drained very slowly, which I reported. It took two minutes for hot water to come through the faucet, and the floor was cold when I woke up.

We were on our way home from our first anniversary trip when the friendly woman at the front desk upgraded our room and arranged for a bottle of wine and cookies to be brought to our suite. That was incredibly thoughtful. Breakfast was included and decent for a hot, ready hotel buffet. The sink took 15-30 minutes to drain, and the counter attached to the wall was pulling away and starting to sag, so it looked like it could collapse. Those cosmetic issues aside, we had a pleasant visit at the Wyndham.

Every time I came through the lobby, Danny greeted me with a joke and the greeting of the day. She was a big help with checkout, too. I highly recommend she gets a raise, she definitely deserves it.

Dany at the front desk gave us awesome service. She treated us great and had a smile the whole time. I give her 100%.
